We know how important music is to creating engaging content, and we recently discussed this with Meta at an event. While Meta understands the need, they're currently limited by copyright laws, which prevents the sharing of music through scheduling tools like Hopper HQ. They are working on finding a workaround, but we don't have any timeline for when this might be available.
Your Options for Adding Music to Posts, Stories and Reels
In the meantime, you have two options when scheduling Instagram Reels with Hopper HQ:
Upload Videos with Music Attached: If you already have your music added to your video, you can upload it directly to Hopper HQ for scheduling.
Use Mobile Reminders for Reel Publishing: If you want to add music through Instagram, you can use our Mobile Reminders feature for Reel publishing. Here’s how:
How to Post Your Reel Using Mobile Reminders:
Receive a Notification: At the scheduled date and time, you'll get a mobile push notification via the Hopper HQ app.
Go to the Post: Click the notification, and it will take you to your post in Hopper HQ.
Manually Post: Tap on 'Manually Post,' which will open Instagram.
Upload Your Post: Add your post just like you would normally in Instagram, including music, stickers, links, text, or drawings. (The video will be at the top of your gallery, and the caption will be copied to your clipboard for easy pasting.)
Publish: Complete your post within Instagram.
Mark as Published: After posting, head back to the Hopper HQ app and press 'Mark as published.'
