The Rules

At Hopper HQ, our mission is to help you master your social media marketing and that includes helping you navigate the rules and guidelines each platform has set.

We truly believe that social media should act as a safe space for all and allows both businesses and individuals to access an open community, giving them the opportunity to inspire and showcase their creativity. We want to protect that community.

With that in mind, Hopper HQ reserve the right to terminate any plan if your account is found in violation of our terms and conditions, or breaches any of the following Community Guidelines.

Consequences for violating our Community Guidelines vary, depending on severity and each social media platform's stance, but may result in your plan being terminated or account blocked. When provided with additional context, decisions will be made in the spirit, rather than the letter, of the following policy:

1. Share responsibly and do not spam

Hopper HQ should be utilised to give you more time to focus on creating outstanding content and must not be used to spam any social media platform. Using the service to spam directly violates all platforms' community guidelines and is not in the spirit of Hopper HQ, or our mission.

To protect Hopper HQ against spam, your account will be investigated if you are scheduling at an above average frequency and may be blocked. We recommend scheduling no more than 10 posts per day (our social media experts suggest 1-5 posts per days is optimum) and ensure content is highly relevant, original and engaging.

If we find that your account is posting excessively, it will be suspended and we reserve the right to terminate your Hopper HQ plan.

Beyond posting appropriately, respecting the community extends to your use of #hashtags and captions, which must be targeted and in line with the any image or video content used. If we find that you are duplicating irrelevant captions or #hashtags across all posts, we will be forced to suspend your account and your plan may be terminated.

2. Right to share

In the spirit of creativity, all content scheduled through Hopper HQ must be authentic and original, or you must have permission to republish any images and/or videos.

While team Hopper HQ absolutely champion the use of user-generated content, we must insist that you have permission to republish any material and credit owners appropriately, to ensure that you do not violate copyright or intellectual property laws.

3. Respect the community

At Hopper HQ, we believe in the power of strong communities, built on respect and authentic interactions; with that in mind, we reserve the right to terminate your plan if you are found to be using Hopper HQ to spread hateful messages or disrupt others' experience online.

Hopper HQ takes a firm stance against hateful messages, in line with all platforms' position on this matter. It is never acceptable to target members of any online community, whether this is in the form of threats, abuse, humiliation, violence or insult; your plan will be terminated if you are found to be spreading hateful messaging through Hopper HQ.

If you are found to be targeting members of any online community based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, disabilities or diseases your account will be blocked and your Hopper HQ plan terminated.

4. Post appropriately

You must be 13 years or over to use Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or Linkedin and therefore Hopper HQ. The community therefore consists of a wide range of age groups, which means we work hard to protect the diverse community and ensure that inappropriate content is not shared through Hopper HQ.

We do not permit the sharing of nudity or pornographic content through Hopper HQ; do not post any photos or videos of sexual intercourse, genitals, nude buttocks or female nipples. However, this does not apply to post-mastectomy scarring, women actively breast feeding or images of paintings and sculptures.

In line with this, we urge you to be considerate when sharing content related to newsworthy events and your account may be investigated if we find that you are sharing posts that feature graphic violence, gruesome or upsetting content.

At Hopper HQ, we are committed to ensuring that all social media platforms remain safe and appropriate for all users.

5. Create a mutually supportive environment

The online community is diverse and at Hopper HQ, we are committed to ensuring that it remains a community of people who care about one another. Social media can act as a safe space where people experiencing difficult issues can come together to create awareness or get help.

As a member of the Hopper HQ community, we urge you to do your best to facilitate communities of this kind and offer support where you can.

6. Abide by the law

Social media is not a place to support or praise terrorism, organised crime, or hate groups - Hopper HQ does not condone this behaviour through the service.

Soliciting sexual services, buying or selling firearms and illegal or prescription drugs is also not allowed through Hopper HQ. We support many business and agencies and insist that you must always follow the law when offering to sell or buy goods via any social media platform.

Hopper HQ also enforces a zero tolerance policy when it comes to sharing sexual content involving minors or threatening to post intimate images of others. Your account will be banned and plan terminated if you are found in violation of this.
