We're sorry to hear that your post has failed.

If you're experiencing issues with your YouTube posts in Hopper HQ, don't worry! We're here to help you resolve them quickly. With Hopper HQ, you can effortlessly create and schedule your YouTube content in advance, allowing us to publish it automatically while you focus on other things. Let's get your YouTube content back on track! ✨

YouTube Shorts must have a title set

The most common reason for YouTube Shorts post failures is due to them being published without a Title.

All YouTube Shorts must be scheduled with a Title.

How to retrospectively check if you set a title:

  1. Click into your YouTube profile in Hopper HQ.

  2. Head to your Planner Page.

  3. Click into the History Tab.

  4. Click into the failed post to view the content

Here, you can reschedule the content adding a title.

Refresh your YouTube Account Connections

Another reason for YouTube post failures is an expired connection between Hopper HQ and YouTube. But no need to fret! We've made it super easy to fix:

1. Head over to your YouTube Account Settings in Hopper HQ.

2. Locate the 'Refresh Connection' button and give it a click.

3. This will take you to a YouTube authorisation page.

4. Simply authorise to refresh the connection. πŸ˜ƒ

Hitting post limits

Another reason for YouTube post failures are hitting posting limits

Whilst we support unlimited publishing, the only limit we have is the one imposed by the platforms themselves, which depends on the maturity of your social profiles. When starting out, we don't recommend publishing too frequently. Once your account is more mature, the upper limit is not defined, however, we see success with posting less than 8 times in 24 hour period. Yet, to publish this frequently, you have to be really careful to not trigger the platforms spam filters.

We find that YouTube accounts are more sensitive and recommend posting maximum 3 times a day until your account is more mature.

Your account has been blocked

Another reason for YouTube post failures is because your account has been flagged as spam.

YouTube doesn't provide any information to us with regards to blocked accounts. If you go to the following links, YouTube should be able to help you. It is likely a previous post has flagged your account which is why Hopper HQ can't post new posts for you.

To fix common errors:

On the Hopper HQ History tab, you can easily identify the failed post by the red banner. You can hover your mouse over the warning sign on the post icon to discover the reason for the failure. You can also click on the warning sign to gain more insight.
