Why are Analytics important? 🧐

Whilst analytics are great to glance at for so-called "vanity metrics", it's important to understand their significance when managing social accounts.

Put simply, you cannot undervalue the resource of data collection for clever decision making πŸ€“

We've broken it down into these categories:

Can't see your Analytics?

To view Instagram analytics, your Instagram account must:

  1. Be connected to a Facebook Page.

  2. Confirm this connection in Hopper HQ.

You may need to refresh this connection periodically.

Once you've connected your account to Hopper HQ via Facebook, you will see analytics from the last 28 days maximum. This will include data, within that period, from the moment you converted your Instagram profile into a business account.

Account Analytics

Account Analytics is where you can gain an overall view of how well your account is doing.

You can link this information to your content to understand the overall account impact.

This is broken into:

  • Total Followers

  • Total Following

  • Total Posts

As well as:

  • New Followers - the number of followers you have gained in the time period

  • Impressions - the total number of times your posts have been seen

  • Reach - the number of unique accounts that have seen any of your posts

  • Profile Views - the number of unique accounts that have viewed your profile

  • Website Clicks - the number of clicks from your social network to your website

  • Email Clicks - the number of email clicks from the social network to your business

Best Time to Post

Audience data lets you know who your followers are, where they are and when they are online!

This allows you to understand your social media audience in order to specifically target your material to them and at a time appropriate for them.

On this page, you'll be able to see:

  • Online Followers - a heat map broken into 24 hours for each day of the week, displaying when your followers are online.

As well as maps and graphs displaying

  • Follower Age

  • Follower Gender

  • Follower Locations

Post Analytics

Post Analytics allows you to see the breakdown of each and every post - not just those posted by Hopper HQ!

This is incredibly useful to understand exactly what type of posts get what level of engagement.

You're able to see and order your posts into:

  • Engagement ⚑️

  • Likes ❀️

  • Comments πŸ’¬

  • Impressions πŸ‘€

  • Reach 🌐

  • Saves 🏷

Hashtag Analytics

Hopper HQ now pulls and collates this information into an easily digestible table so that you can see which hashtags are performing better on your social media campaigns.

The table is broken into:

  • The hashtag itself

  • The posts with this hashtag

  • The success metric (Likes and Comments).

This data is ordered with your highest performing hashtags at the top.

This allows you to determine which hashtags pull what type of engagement, so you can review what works and which hashtags you can ditch!

Please note that we can only pull hashtag data from the caption, not the first comment.
